The New Year celebration and Fireworks display at the Petronas Twin Towers KLCC and in Merdeka Square – Dataran Merdeka to usher in Year 2023 has been canceled by the newly elected Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The reason for the cancelation is because to be in solidarity mourning for the loss of lives in the recent East coast Flash Floods and the death of many people on the landslide incidents in Balakong.
